We are pleased to offer for sale the following publications of The Idaho Genealogical Society (IGS):

150 Years of Idaho Cooking
The Idaho Genealogical Society published this collection of recipes in honor of the Idaho Territorial Sesquicentennial. The cookbook includes a number of recipes from Idaho's historical past, including interesting notes and anecdotes about the recipe or its contributor. We think you will enjoy reading, reminiscing, and cooking with these recipes, with perhaps a chuckle here and there.

Early Settlement of Lower Boise Valley
Part 1: Autobiography of Anderson Cox, written on September 2nd, 1947, his 87th birthday, edited by Alice Smith. Anderson Cox came with his parents, Reuben and Anna Napier Cox, on the Oregon Trail to Canyon County in 1864. Possibly the best description we have of life in early Idaho. 19 pages. Includes a list of literature cited.
Part 2: Descendants of Reuben and Anna Napier Cox - not completed, therefore not available at this time.

Footprints Through Idaho
Idaho was granted statehood on July 3, 1890. Footprints Through Idaho volumes capture the pioneers who came to Idaho prior to that date. Information comes from pedigrees and other documents submitted in applications for Pioneer Certificates, giving lines of descent to the submitter.

Volume I: Certificates 1 – 566 (162 pages). Includes a surname index;

Volume II: Certificates 567 - 999 (241 pages). Includes a surname index;

Volume III: Certificates 1000 - 1799 (404 pages). Includes a cumulative surname index for all 3 volumes.

IGS Quarterly: Vol. 1–63 (1958–2020) and IGS Newsletter Vol 1-2 (2025-2026)
From its beginnings in 1958 until 2020, IGS published a periodical called the Quarterly. When Covid hit, all operations ceased. In 2025 we regrouped and began publication of a Newsletter.

Copies of past issues of the IGS Quarterly and the IGS Newsletter can be ordered either in paper or digital form. Use the 1958 to 2026 Quarterly Table of Contents pages and/or the IGS Newsletter Table of Contents pages to locate the issues you would like to order.

Use the line on the order form that begins "IGS Quarterly" to request a paper copy of the Quarterly. Specify the Year, Volume, and Issue Number of the document that you desire on the third line. Enter the number of copies and the amount enclosed.

Use the line starting with "IGS Newsletter" to order a paper copy of the Newsletter. Specify the Year, Volume, and Issue Number of the document that you desire on the third line.

Milleman Newspaper Clippings
Milleman Scrapbook: Theodore Milleman was Chief Engineer for the Boise City Fire Department. He clipped articles of interest and pasted them onto pages of an old Atlas from 1865 until his death in 1905. The page size was 21 ½” X 17” and contains over 72 pages chronicling events such as births, deaths, weddings, personal and political happenings. In 1924, it was donated to the Idaho State Historical Society. Now kept at the State Archives, it is no longer available for public use due to its fragile condition. IGS digitized the scrapbook for your viewing pleasure!

Milleman Newspaper Clippings 1865-1905 Annotated Index by Jolyn Lockhart-Larson: Theodore Milleman pasted clippings from early newspapers into a scrapbook. Most of these newspapers were not preserved, but the scrapbook was and with it much of early Southwestern Idaho history. 237 pages.

Oregon Trail Diaries

1862 Kennedy Company, Oregon Trail Journey: A partially reconstructed list of the Kennedy Company, many of the names came from a list attached to a copy of the Hamilton Scott Journal. Includes names, some dates of birth, marriage information and children if known. Also, notes on some of the people listed. Diary of the trip included. Literature cited on the last page. Harvey H. Jones 1854 Oregon Trail journal: Partial Reconstruction of the Wagon Trains with whom the Jones Family traveled. Includes names, some dates and notes regarding the people traveling. Pat Packard, editor, revised June 21st, 2001.

Bingham County Deaths 1907-1909: An index of deaths showing the name, record and page the entry is on. 9 pages.

Bonner County Microfilm Death Index 1907-1910: Gives names, date of death, age, place, and page # on Bonner County Microlfilm. 6 pages.

Pioneers Attending the "Caldwell Days of '83 Dinner" Old timers of the Caldwell area held a reunion at the IOOF Temple on May 8th, year not recorded - possibly 1948. This is a list of the old timer attendees, slightly over 300, who registered for the event or were registered by family. References on last page. Revised on June 20th, 2001 by Pat Packard.

Lemhi County Pioneers 1866-1870 An index to scattered literature, records of pioneers of the first five years of the Leesburg area gold rush pioneers comprising 475 names compiled by Pat Packard. Includes names, where born, when in Lemhi County, if in the 1870 census, occupation and reference. List of listerature cited on last page. 13 pages.

Owyhee County Gleaning's Vital Extracts: No description available.

People of the Yankee Fork: Patricia L. Packard, of Nampa Idaho and the Yankee Fork, compiled these research notes and donated them to the Idaho Genealogical Society. Comprised of names, dates and notes regarding pioneers and inhabitants of the Yankee Fork area of Idaho. References listed on the last page.
